My work is rich in symbols and interpretations, it requires nooks, mysteries and shadows, the implicit semiotics are not rigid nor do they announce a specific omen, they are flexible in interpretation.

Carlos Cortés is a disruptive artist, his works stop the spectators provoking deep contemplations.
Crude Realism is the style that defines him, his themes are varied, however his speech is usually philosophical and existential.
He is an artist who proposes and dares in his themes... an artist who conquers the unpleasant with a discreet visual seduction.
He is considered one of the most important creators of his generation in Jalisco, Mexico.
